Our Governors
Mrs. L. Tyrer, Headteacher. My name is Lisa Tyrer and I am the Headteacher at Padiham Green. I started here in 2019 and feel very fortunate to be working in such an amazing school with a group of staff that put the education and wellbeing of the children at the centre of everything they do. The children at Padiham Green constantly amaze me with their excellent manners, positive attitude to learning and they remind me every day why I became a teacher. I have been teaching since 2002. Prior to working at Padiham Green I have taught at two other Lancashire schools and was the SENCO in both. As a Headteacher I am able to devote my time to developing teaching and learning across school as well as supporting children and their families in school with additional needs ensuring that everyone is given the best possible chance to reach their full potential. In addition to being a teacher, I am a proud mum of two teenage girls both of who keep me very busy. As a family we enjoy spending our time walking in the Lake District, cooking delicious food together and watching Coronation Street. Date of Appointment: January 2019 |

Mrs. Paula MarkhamI am the mum of 2 boys who have attended Padiham Green. Benjamin is now 14 and studying at Burnley High School, and Oliver is in Year 6, and I have been a Parent Governor since 2010. I nominated myself as a Governor as I believe that parent governors have a special role. I always try to assess issues and decisions from the point of view of a parent/carer as I feel that different perspectives should always be considered and a rounded view increases the likelihood to make improvements for the school, its staff and most importantly the children. I enjoy being part of the school’s governing body and working in partnership with Mr Dixon and leadership team to raise standards and improve outcomes for all of the children at Padiham Green. In recent years I have undertaken roles as sport and science governor to provide a supporting role in these areas, additionally, I also sit on the Curriculum Committee & Pay Appeals Committee. I have had an 18 year career for the NHS and I am current Head of Informatics for a number of Greater Manchester Hospitals. Nominated Governor for: Science/P.E. Date of Appointment: 2010 |

Mrs. Alison ShearerI have been working with Early Years children for a long time. I keep up to date with new methods of teaching & learning enhancements and enjoy carrying them out with the children in my setting. I feel strongly about learning in a fun and exciting way and I feel Padiham Green also achieves this. All my girls have either attended Padiham Green or at still at Padiham Green. My niece is also part of the Padiham Green family and previously my maternal family have also been Padiham Green attendees so I know this is a really warm, caring and welcoming school which I hope in the future my children will continue to support.
