PE Curriculum at Padiham Green

In P.E. we provide engaging and challenging activities that help to inspire children of all different levels to be active and to lead healthy lives. We aim to grow the whole child through our P.E. curriculum, by focusing on a wide variety of skills and knowledge that will help children to develop; physically, mentally and socially. We ensure that all children are given a range of competitive opportunities and other activities that will develop character.

We ensure that our pupil's fundamental movement skills are developed whilst in EYFS & Key Stage 1 which will help them when they move on to do PE in Key Stage 2. We aim to ensure that every child is being physcally active during PE lessons and also provide our pupils with a wide variety of different sports and activities.

Through PE, we aim to empower the children to become innovators of their own activities and active play. By engaging in so many different activities during PE, we hope that children will be able to take ideas from lessons and use them elsewhere such lunch times, playing in the garden or playing at the park.

We also hope to inspire children to become more active during PE. Due to the high number of opportunities and sport we proivde, we hope that children try something new activities during PE and persure these outside of school.
